Paris, such a big city, has so much to offer. Never in my life did I think the opportunity to visit this place would ever arise. And yet, it was all possible.
The French, no, the Parisians are something else. While the stereotype of the typical French is somewhat negative, I have not found this to be true at all. Everyone seems to enjoy life and although in the city with such a big business district, at cafes life seems to slow down. Sitting at these tables outside drinking espresso or having a glass of amazing wine or great beer is accompanied by people watching. I find it so interesting how different things can be halfway around the world.
One thing Parisians know how to do is eat. I felt like throughout the trip, in the midst of all the tourist adventures, all I did was eat and drink. Eating there isn't like
how it is back home or in America, with all the emphasis on quick and fast food. In Paris people take time to enjoy their meal, food, and company.
Dining usually takes a lot longer than one would expect, with different courses--entrée, main course, wine, cheese dish, and dessert. How could I go wrong? Even the food at the smallest little café will taste AMAZING! And you don't have to worry about becoming a fat ass, because Parisians do a lot of walking. Although there are many cars driven around in the city, most people use the public transportation. The metro is like God's gift to Paris, it is so easy to get around throughout the big city with this transportation.
I really enjoyed this trip and will certainly return to Paris sometime in the future.
